Small Pentagram - Pendant

The small pentagram is an ancient and universal symbol for magic and witchery. According to the beliefs of many cultures its five-pointed star concentrates mystic energies and thus helps its wearer to reach set goals and secret wishes. Because of this the pentagram is an inherent part of many magic rituals and spells.
 
This pendant is made of pewter, a shiny, soft metal which is very malleable and has a good tarnish resistance. Artists and craftsmen used pewter quite early (dinnerware, sculptures, household articles, pewter figures, jewelry) and hence pewter jewelry has a long tradition. The word pewter is probably a variation of the word spelter, a colloquial name for the same metal.
